Not all these countries existed at the beginnings of their respective wars, but by the end of the wars, they all existed and were involved in some way. Clearly, World War II had more involved parties, but many were the same as those in World War I, and became involved because their countries were dissatisfied with the results, and because alliance systems were still present.
